Digging In with Ashley Corley, Director of Client Services
Back to insights

Digging In is a regular series of blog posts profiling UDig employees. We hope this series helps you get to know our team and understand why we dig what we do! Today, we are sitting down with Ashley Corley, Director of Client Services.

UDig: Tell us a little bit about your background and your role at UDig.

ACI’ve spent the last 20 years in consulting, with a focus on IT and HR transformation. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries and complex environments, helping organizations rethink how they operate, improve internal processes, and scale effectively. I’ve led initiatives ranging from operational overhauls to launching international expansions and building more effective ways for organizations to engage with their customers.

I see myself as a translator between business and IT. I’m often stepping into situations where something isn’t working, helping teams align on the problem, and creating a path forward that works for both the business and the people using the systems every day.

At UDig, I’m focused on managing delivery across a portfolio of work while also leading a major client account. My role is centered on driving consistency, strengthening execution, and continuously improving how we deliver for our clients.

UDig: Why UDig? What made us the right decision for you?

AC:  UDig stood out to me because of its strong local presence in Nashville and the meaningful work happening within the community. There’s a real opportunity here to grow something special, and I was excited to be part of that.

I’m especially passionate about creating more consistency in how we deliver for our clients—whether that’s streamlining processes or evolving our approach over time to create an even better experience. Pair that with a team and leadership group I genuinely enjoy working with, and it felt like the right fit.

UDig: What does “ideas to impact” mean to you?

ACThere’s never a shortage of great ideas, but what really matters is identifying the ones that can create measurable impact. To me, it’s about filtering through the noise and focusing on the ideas that can drive real ROI—whether that’s for a client, a project, or even internally. When you can connect an idea to something tangible and quantifiable, it becomes a clear north star that guides decision-making and execution.

UDig: In 3 years, what do you hope to see UDig accomplish?

ACUDig has already made great progress in clarifying what it wants to be known for, and I’d love to see that continue to expand.

In the next few years, I hope we see a larger footprint, more consistency across accounts, and a truly streamlined delivery model. I’m excited about the opportunity to be part of that growth and help shape what that future looks like.

UDig: What is your favorite procrastination tool?

AC: It usually falls into one of three categories—getting lost in a good book, planning an elaborate themed dinner party (complete with a full tablescape), or mentally mapping out my next trip (hopefully Japan or Bali).

UDig: What did you want to be when you grew up?

AC: I went through a phase where I made all my friends dress up so I could pretend to be a photographer, and I also spent a lot of time writing stories. Honestly, that creative side has never really gone away—I still have a long list of book ideas I’d love to write someday.

UDig: What’s the most played song or album in your music library?

AC“Build Me Up Buttercup” is a classic that never gets old.

UDig: What trivia category would you be best at?

ACHistory!

UDig: How would you spend your day if we told you to take the day off?

ACI’d probably end up hiking somewhere in TN!
