Firm ranks among the top 100 employers in the state, based on evaluation of workplace practices and employee experience.

Richmond, VA, February 2, 2017 UDig was recently named as one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in Virginia. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Virginia was created by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group.

The final rankings were announced at an awards luncheon on February 2, 2017 at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. “We are thrilled to be named to the Best Places to Work list again in 2017,” shared Thompson.  “We are building an exciting culture at UDig where we are working on cool projects, leveraging interesting technology, growing and having fun.  It’s great to see that our employees feel UDig is one of the best places to work in Virginia.”

UDig was also listed as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia in 2016 and the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies in 2008, 2011, 2015 and 2016. Learn more at www.udig.com.

About the survey:

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The 2017 Best Places to Work in Virginia list is made up of 100 companies.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
  • Be a publicly or privately held business;
  • Have a facility in the state of Virginia;
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the state of Virginia; and
  • Be in business a minimum of 1 year.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part, worth 25% of the evaluation, consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part, worth 75%, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
